Peter Wright
Investment Director
Peter Wright became Finance Wales’
Investment Director in 2004 following 3 years as a non-executive
director. He oversees the Group’s investment activities and chairs
its investment committee.
Previously he was head of acquisition finance at Fortis Bank,
then the world’s fifteenth largest bank. He also led Fortis’s
UK regional mezzanine and acquisition finance teams.
In a 30-year career at NatWest Bank, Peter headed its
specialised finance unit, managing £200 million equity, mezzanine
and leveraged finance funds for SMEs. He was also corporate
director of RBS’s largest London-based company business centre
which focused on fast growth technology and e-commerce
businesses.
