Aspire fund
Aspire is a £12.5 million risk capital fund
which invests in businesses led by women.
It encourages female entrepreneurs with viable business
propositions to seek risk capital finance.
Aspire is a public fund that works with private sector
co-investment. It invests on the same commercial
terms as a private sector investor and is managed by Capital for
Enterprise Ltd.
Investment amounts
Single investments between £100,000 and £2
million are available on commercial investment terms.

Eligibility
To qualify businesses must:
- Have an attractive and viable business proposition
- Have an investor already in place
- Have 30% or greater female representation at board or senior
executive team level
- Be founded or co-founded by women who still play a key role in
the business
- Be more than 30% owned by women (excluding third-party
investors, such as venture capital funds and business angels)
- Have a female executive responsible for raising investment
funds
